उत्तराखंड में वर्ष 2014 से अपनी राजनीतिक जमीन बचाने को जिद्दोजहद कर रही कांग्रेस को भाजपा झटका देने की तैयारी में है। भाजपा के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट ने इसके संकेत दिए।
हाल में उभरे कांग्रेस के अंतर्कलह और कांग्रेस विधायक तिलकराज बेहड़ समेत अन्य कांग्रेस नेताओं से हुई भाजपा नेताओं की मुलाकात को इससे जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है।
इस संबंध में पूछे जाने पर भट्ट ने कहा कि मुलाकात करने में कुछ भी गलत नहीं है। तमाम नेताओं से संपर्क होता रहता है। शिष्टाचार के साथ ही बातचीत के दौरान कई विषयों पर चर्चा होना स्वाभाविक है।
राज्य में चुनावों में पिछड़ती आ रही है कांग्रेस:
वर्ष 2014 के लोकसभा चुनाव के बाद से कांग्रेस राज्य में अब तक हुए चुनावों में पिछड़ती आ रही है। इस बीच पार्टी में धड़ेबाजी और क्षत्रपों में विभिन्न विषयों को लेकर तलवारें खिंची होने की खबरें सुर्खियां भी बनती आई हैं। इसे कुछ नेताओं की नाराजगी से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है।
पूर्व कांग्रेस प्रदेश अध्यक्ष प्रीतम सिंह प्रदेश प्रभारी देवेंद्र यादव पर लगातार हमलावर रहे हैं। इस बीच कांग्रेस विधायक तिलकराज बेहड़ भी पिछले कुछ समय से अपनी पार्टी में कई विषयों को लेकर काफी मुखर हैं।
स्वास्थ्य लाभ कर रहे विधायक बेहड़ से हाल में प्रदेश के कृषि मंत्री गणेश जोशी व केंद्रीय रक्षा एवं पर्यटन राज्य मंत्री अजय भट्ट ने मुलाकात की थी। इसे लेकर राजनीतिक गलियारों में कई तरह के निहितार्थ निकाले जाने लगे। चर्चा यह भी है कि बदली परिस्थितियों में भाजपा अब कांग्रेस को कोई झटका देने की तैयारी कर रही है।

भाजपा के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेंद्र भट्ट ने कांग्रेस के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष करन माहरा के अपने एक वर्ष के कार्यकाल को उपलब्धियों भरा बताने पर तंज कसा और कहा कि माहरा का कार्यकाल जनसरोकारों से दूर रहकर गुटबाजी और दुष्प्रचार में बीता। भट्ट ने पत्रकारों से अनौपचारिक बातचीत में कहा कि आखिर वह कौन सी उपलब्धि है, जिसका बखान प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष कर रहे हैं। कांग्रेस संगठन सेवा कार्यों में जनता से दूर है। कांग्रेस विपक्ष की जिम्मेदारी भी ठीक से नहीं निभा पाई है। रचनात्मक कार्यों में सहयोग और सत्ता को सतर्क व सुझाव देने के बजाय कांग्रेस आरोप-प्रत्यारोप और दुष्प्रचार की राजनीति करती रही है।
