देश व प्रदेश में साहसिक खेलों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए चमोली जिले के औली में दो से पांच फरवरी तक राष्ट्रीय शीतकालीन खेलों का आयोजन किया जाएगा। पर्यटन विभाग ने इसके लिए कमर कस ली है। उत्तराखंड समेत विभिन्न राज्यों की टीमें इसमें हिस्सा लेंगी।

उत्तराखंड इस आयोजन की मेजबानी करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार:
पर्यटन मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड इस आयोजन की मेजबानी करने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। बताया कि राष्ट्रीय शीतकालीन खेलों में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्की महासंघ (एफआइएस) द्वारा अनुमोदित रेसिंग स्कीइंग का आयोजन भी प्रस्तावित है।
पुरुष और महिला दोनों वर्ग के खिलाड़ी लेंगे हिस्सा:
नेशनल स्कीइंग चैंपियनशिप-2023 में चार इवेंट होंगे। इनमें पुरुष और महिला दोनों वर्ग के खिलाड़ी हिस्सा लेंगे। इसके अलावा हिमालयन ट्राफी 2023 के तहत सात और आठ फरवरी को पुरुषों और महिलाओं के लिए एफआइएस द्वारा स्वीकृत जाइंट सलालम रेस का भी आयोजन किया जाएगा।

सभी मानकों और मानदंडों पर खरा उतरा है औली:
बताया कि एफआइएस किसी भी सेंटर को तभी मंजूरी देता है, जब वह अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानदंडों और मानकों से मेल खाता है। औली इनके सभी मानकों और मानदंडों पर खरा उतरा है।
पर्यटन विभाग द्वारा औली के लिए एक मास्टर प्लान भी तैयार किया है, जिसे कैबिनेट स्वीकृति के लिए भेजा गया है। इसके अलावा औली में 3.5 किलोमीटर रेसिंग ढलान का निर्माण भी किया जाना प्रस्तावित है।

टेबल टेनिस में आन्या सजवाण ने जीता दोहरा खिताब:
जिला खेल कार्यालय देहरादून की ओर से राज्य स्थापना दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता में टेबल टेनिस में आन्या सजवाण ने अंडर-15 व अंडर-17 आयु वर्ग का खिताब अपने नाम किया। मंगलवार को जिला खेल कार्यालय देहरादून की ओर से बहुद्देशीय क्रीडा हाल में बालक-बालिका जनपद स्तरीय बैडमिंटन एवं टेबल टेनिस प्रतियोगिता शुरू की गई।
जिसका उद्घाटन प्रभारी जिला क्रीड़ा अधिकारी शबाली गुरुंग ने दीप जलाकर किया। बालिका वर्ग की टेबल टेनिस प्रतियोगिता में अंडर-11 आयु वर्ग में सावी ने मनस्वी गोयल को 3-0 से शिकस्त देकर खिताब जीता। अंडर-15 आयु वर्ग का खिताबी मुकाबला आन्या सजवाण और अमिधा के बीच खेला गया। जिसमें आन्या सजवाण ने 3-0 से बाजी मारी। जबकि अंडर-17 आयु वर्ग का खिताब भी आन्या सजवाण के नाम रहा।
आन्या ने अमिधा को 3-0 से करारी शिकस्त दी। इस दौरान उपक्रीड़ा अधिकारी दीपक रावत, रविंद्र भंडारी, सहायक प्रशिक्षक अमित कटारिया, गिरीश मवाल, टेटे प्रशिक्षक सुनीता चिमवाल और अंजली अग्रवाल समेत अन्य मौजूद रहे।
