केंद्र सरकार ने एक बार फिर उत्तराखंड के प्रति दरियादिली दिखाई है। केंद्र ने उत्तराखंड में अब दो के स्थान पर जी-20 सम्मेलन की तीन बैठकों की मेजबानी सौंप दी है। इसकी पहली बैठक 26 से 28 मार्च को नैनीताल जिले के अंतर्गत रामनगर में होगी।
इस बैठक में अमेरिका व जापान समेत विभिन्न देशों के मुख्य वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार हिस्सा लेंगे। शासन ने आयुक्त कुमाऊं और जिलाधिकारी नैनीताल व ऊधमसिंह नगर को पत्र लिखकर बैठक की तैयारियां करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
दो बैठकों में से एक बैठक का जिम्मा कुमाऊ मंडल को:
उत्तराखंड को केंद्र सरकार ने पहले जी-20 सम्मेलन के अंतर्गत दो बैठकों की मेजबानी सौंपी थी। ये बैठकें नरेंद्र नगर में 25 से 27 मई और फिर 26 से 28 जून के बीच होनी हैं। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने केंद्र से अनुरोध किया था कि दो बैठकों में से एक बैठक का जिम्मा कुमाऊ मंडल को भी दिया जाए। इन दो बैठकों की तैयारियां काफी हद तक पूरी हो चुकी हैं।
इस कारण केंद्र ने उत्तराखंड को जी-20 की तीसरी बैठक की जिम्मेदारी देने का निर्णय लिया है। केंद्र सरकार के प्रमुख वैज्ञानिक सलाहकार अजय के सूद ने इस संबंध में मुख्य सचिव डा एसएस संधु को पत्र लिखकर उत्तराखंड को तीसरी बैठक जी-20 सीएसएआर (चीफ साइंस एडवाजर्स राउंड टेबल) दिए जाने के संबंध में सूचना दी है।
इस पत्र में बताया गया है कि बैठक में 75 अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतिनिधि और देश के 25 प्रतिनिधियों के शामिल होने की उम्मीद हैं। अमेरिका और जापान से बैठक में भाग लेने की पुष्टि कर दी गई है।
केंद्र से मिले पत्र के बाद सचिव सामान्य प्रशासन बीके सुमन ने आयुक्त कुमाऊं और जिलाधिकारी नैनीताल व ऊधम सिंह नगर को बैठक की संपूर्ण व्यवस्था करते हुए इसकी सूचना अविलंब शासन को सौंपने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
