मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गौचर में 73वें राजकीय औद्योगिक विकास एवं सांस्कृतिक मेले का शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने गौचर मेले को सांस्कृतिक विरासत और स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए महत्वपूर्ण बताया। धामी ने गौचर में 18 सीटर हेली सेवा शुरू करने, पार्किंग सुविधाएँ विकसित करने और स्टेडियम निर्माण की घोषणा की। उन्होंने स्थानीय उत्पादों को बढ़ावा देने की बात कही और वरिष्ठ पत्रकारों व साहित्यकारों को सम्मानित किया।
गौचर में 73वें राजकीय औद्योगिक विकास एवं सांस्कृतिक मेले का शुभारंभ करने पहुंचे मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिह धामी ने कहा कि गौचर मेला उत्तराखंड के प्रमुख मेलों में से एक है। यह मेला हमारी सांस्कृतिक विरासत को संजोए रखने का प्रभावी माध्यम होने के साथ ही स्थानीय आर्थिकी को भी सशक्त बनाता है।
उन्होंने पिथौरागढ़ की तर्ज पर गौचर में 18 सीटर हेलीसेवा शुरू करने की भी घोषणा की। साथ ही नगर क्षेत्र के चार प्रमुख स्थलों पर पार्किंग सुविधाओं का विकास करने और साकेत नगर-रघुनाथ मंदिर-चटवापीपल मोटर मार्ग निर्माण की बात भी कही।
उन्होंने कहा की गौचर में स्टेडियम निर्माण के लिए धनराशि स्वीकृत की जा चुकी है। जल्द ही इसका कार्य शुरू करवाया जाएगा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि लोकल फार वोकल, मेड इन इंडिया जैसी योजना के माध्यम से स्थानीय उत्पादों को प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है। तमाम परेशानियों और चुनौतियों के बाद भी मातृशक्ति शानदार उत्पाद बना रही हैं।
उनके उत्पाद बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों को भी पीछे छोड़ रही है। सरकार के प्रयासों से आज उत्तराखंड फिल्म शूटिंग का बेस्ट डेस्टिनेशन बन रहा है। अब उत्तराखंड तेजी से वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन के रूप में अपनी पहचान बना रहा है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने वरिष्ठ पत्रकार हरीश मैखुरी को गोविंद प्रसाद नौटियाल सम्मान और वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार व शिक्षाविद डा. नन्द किशोर हटवाल को पंडित महेशानंद नौटियाल शिक्षा और साहित्य प्रसार सम्मान से सम्मानित किया। मेले में पहले दिन ईष्ट रावल देवता की पूजा के बाद स्कूली बच्चों ने प्रभात फेरी निकाली। क्रास कंट्री दौड़ और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम भी हुए।
