गुरूवार को राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से.नि.) और मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी देहरादून के राजीव गांधी इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में चल रही रोड़ सेफ्टी वर्ल्ड सीरीज देखने पहुंचे। उन्होंने स्टेडियम पंहुचकर इंडिया लीजेंड्स और इंग्लैंड लीजेंड्स मैच का आनंद लिया। इससे पूर्व राज्यपाल और मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी खिलाड़ियों से परिचय प्राप्त किया और देवभूमि में सभी का स्वागत किया।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि आज के दौर में रोड सेफ्टी से सम्बन्धित नियमों का पालन करना हम सब का दायित्व है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह आयोजन इस दिशा में जन जागरूकता का कार्य करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि क्रिकेट का यह आयोजन उत्तराखण्ड में खेलों को बढ़ावा देने तथा उत्तराखण्ड को पहचान दिलाने में मददगार होंगे।
इस दौरान खेल मंत्री रेखा आर्य, विशेष प्रमुख सचिव अभिनव कुमार आदि भी उपस्थित रहे।
