सोमवार को राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से नि) ने राजभवन प्रेक्षागृह में आयोजित ‘संस्कृत सप्ताह महोत्सव’ का शुभारंभ किया। कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि राज्यपाल ने कहा कि संस्कृत सप्ताह मनाये जाने का निर्णय संस्कृत भाषा के विकास एवं इसके प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्कृत भाषा भारत की सभ्यता, संस्कृति और ज्ञान की परिचायक है। राज्यपाल ने कहा कि संस्कृत भाषा हमें अपनी जड़ों से जोड़ती है और इसमें ज्ञान का बड़ा भण्डार है।
राज्यपाल ने कहा कि देवभूमि उत्तराखण्ड की यह जिम्मेदारी है कि संस्कृत भाषा को विश्व एवं राष्ट्र की भाषा बनाने में अपना पूर्ण योगदान दें। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्कृत दुनिया की प्राचीनतम भाषाओं में एक है। यह हमारे ज्ञान एवं विज्ञान की भाषा होने के साथ-साथ देश को एक सूत्र में बांधती है। संस्कृत के बिना अपनी संस्कृति और सभ्यता को समझना बेहद कठिन है। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्कृत को सोशल मीडिया, मॉस मीडिया से जोड़ा जाए और इसे और अधिक सुगम बनाये जाने के प्रयास किये जाने चाहिए। उन्होंने सभी से आह्वान किया कि हमें दैनिक बोलचाल की भाषा में संस्कृत का प्रयोग करना चाहिए।
राज्यपाल ने कहा कि संस्कृत भाषा को आगे बढ़ाने, इसके विकास और संरक्षण के लिए हमें अपने बच्चों को ज्ञान और विज्ञान के साथ संस्कृत को जोड़ते हुए उन्हें कौशल संपन्न बनाने के प्रयास करने चाहिए। संस्कृत भाषा वह सेतु है जो प्राचीन को नवीन से जोड़ती है।
कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ऋतु खंण्डूडी भूषण ने कहा कि संस्कृत भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार व इसको बढ़ावा देने पर कार्य किया जाना आवश्यक है। संस्कृत को आम बोलचाल की भाषा में प्रयोग करना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि संस्कृत को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए हरसंभव प्रयास किया जायेगा।
शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ.धन सिंह रावत ने संस्कृत सप्ताह महोत्सव के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए इसके उद्देश्यों के बारे में अवगत कराया। उन्होंने बताया कि संस्कृत भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार हेतु 08 से 14 अगस्त तक संस्कृत सप्ताह मनाया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रत्येक जनपद में एक-एक संस्कृत गांव बनाये जायेंगे। इसके साथ ही 05 लाख छात्र-छात्राओं, जो संस्कृत सीखना व बोलना चाहते हैं उन्हें संस्कृत का व्यावहारिक ज्ञान दिया जायेगा। इस दौरान उन्होंने संस्कृत भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार व उन्नयन के लिए किये जा रहे अन्य महत्वपूर्ण निर्णयों की जानकारी भी ली। अखिल भारतीय संगठन मंत्री दिनेश कामत ने संस्कृत भाषा के संदर्भ में अपने विचार रखे।
संस्कृत सप्ताह के अवसर पर संस्कृत भाषा के उन्नयन व प्रचार के लिए विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ऋतु भूषण खण्डूरी, कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचन्द्र अग्रवाल, विधायक रूद्रप्रयाग भरत सिंह चौधरी, विधायक थराली भोपाल राम टम्टा, विधायक रानीखेत डॉ. प्रमोद नैनवाल को संस्कृत गौरव सम्मान से सम्मानित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में विधायक कैन्ट सविता कपूर, सचिव संस्कृत शिक्षा चन्द्रेश कुमार यादव, अपर सचिव राज्यपाल स्वाती एस.भदौरिया, महानिदेश विद्यालय शिक्षा बंशीधर तिवारी, विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों के कुलपति, निदेशक, प्रोफेसर के अलावा माध्यमिक शिक्षा के आचार्य व अन्य गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित रहे।
