बदरीनाथ धाम में बम निरोधक दस्ता और असम राइफल को तैनात कर दिया गया है। इसके अलावा ज्योतिर्मठ क्षेत्र में भी बम निरोधक दस्ता पुलिस के साथ चेकिंग अभियान चला रहे हैं।
दिल्ली में सोमवार शाम को हुए धमाके के बाद से चमोली में पुलिस प्रशासन अलर्ट मोड पर है। मंगलवार को बदरीनाथ धाम में असम राइफल, बम निरोधक दस्ता, पुलिस और एसडीआरएफ ने संयुक्त सुरक्षा ड्रिल की। साथ ही जिले में सभी जगह पर चेकिंग अभियान तेज कर दिया गया है।
पुलिस ने सोमवार देर रात से ही जिले के प्रवेश द्वार गैरसैंण, ग्वालदम, मंडल रोड व गौचर में सघन चेकिंग शुरू कर दिया था। वहीं मंगलवार को बदरीनाथ धाम में बम निरोधक दस्ता और असम राइफल को तैनात कर दिया गया है। इसके अलावा ज्योतिर्मठ क्षेत्र में भी बम निरोधक दस्ता पुलिस के साथ चेकिंग अभियान चला रहे हैं। इसके अलावा जिले के प्रेवश द्वार पर भी बम निरोधक दस्ता तैनात कर चेकिंग की जा रही है। हाईवे पर भी पुलिस अलर्ट मोड में है और जगह-जगह चेकिंग अभियान चलाया जा रहा है।
एसपी सुरजीत सिंह पंवार का कहना है कि चेकिंग अभियान का उद्देश्य सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को सुदृढ करना है, ताकि कोई संदिग्ध व्यक्ति या वस्तु जिले की सीमा में प्रवेश न कर सके। धार्मिक और भीड़भाड़ वाले स्थानों पर कड़ी नजर रखी जा रही है।
