अनियंत्रित कार खाई में समाई, बड़ा हादसा टला नैनीताल से राहत भरी खबर सामने आई है, जहां नैनीताल–हल्द्वानी मार्ग पर पर्यटकों से भरी एक कार अचानक नियंत्रण खो बैठी और सड़क किनारे रेलिंग तोड़ते हुए गहरी खाई में जा गिरी। बताया जा रहा है कि कार तेज रफ्तार में थी और ओवरटेक करने के दौरान संतुलन बिगड़ गया, जिसके चलते यह हादसा हुआ।
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस, दमकल और एसडीआरएफ की टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं। अंधेरा होने के बावजूद तुरंत रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन शुरू किया गया और काफी मशक्कत के बाद खाई में फंसे सभी पांच यात्रियों को सुरक्षित बाहर निकाल लिया गया। सभी घायलों को 108 एंबुलेंस सेवा के जरिए बीडी पांडेय अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, जहां उनका उपचार जारी है।बताया जा रहा है कि कार सवार सभी लोग रामपुर के रहने वाले हैं और नैनीताल घूमने आ रहे थे। समय रहते रेस्क्यू होने से बड़ा हादसा टल गया, जिससे प्रशासन और राहत टीमों की तत्परता एक बार फिर सामने आई है।
